Atlanta Python Meetup November Meeting

The next PyAtl meeting is on Nov. 8th. The topic this month is GUI toolkits, and the agenda calls for a bunch of lightning talks. I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to make it, since there are several toolkits on the list that I’ve never used before.

Agenda:
PyGTK 2.0: Jeremy Jones
WXPython: Mark Adams
PyGlet: Drew Smathers
Curses: Jeremy Jones
Divmod Nevow Athena: Cary Hull
Tkinter: Bernard Matthews
Python/Cocoa/Leopard: Noah Gift

We’re still looking for someone to talk about PyQT, Jython, and IronPython. If you would like to present on any of those topics, please get in touch with Noah Gift.

Are you going to record the talks?

We had someone video tape a session a couple of months ago, but that never materialized on the web. I’m not sure how much experience anyone in the group has with moving A/V content online. I’d *love* to do it, though.

Do you have any suggestions for how to make that happen?

Well, not really. I was eager to watch it. The agenda looks really interesting
